DAIISTAR, Good Time [+ il video di “Parallel”]

Un nome caldo in casa Fuzz Club è quello dei Daiistar, band noise-pop/shoegaze di Austin, prodotta da Alex Maas dei Black Angels. Il chitarrista e cantante Alex Capistran (Wurve, Warm Soda, Smoking White) bazzica l’ambiente da un po’ e in questo esordio ha deciso di puntare su suggestioni fine Ottanta – inizio Novanta, sull’indolente risacca di pop e psichedelia, che scorre veloce sulla batteria di Nick Cornetti (American Shark), a metà tra la strafattanza dei Brian Jonestown Massacre e la paraculaggine dei Primal Scream. Per certi versi i Daiistar ricordano gli stoccolmesi Les Big Byrd: psych-pop krauto a cui basta poco e che non pretende nulla in cambio, in cerca di sincero “good time” da dare e ricevere. Bontà loro, per una mezz’oretta ci riescono davvero.
