Torna Harlow MacFarlane, con la seconda parte del suo concept sul mondo al di là dello specchio. Ha toccato ogni possibile sottogenere “post-industrial” (dark ambient, death industrial e così via), ma qui lavora solo di sottrazione, muovendo pochi suoni nel vuoto assoluto. Occorre immaginare Lustmord, ma quello spaziale che non gioca sull’impatto delle basse frequenze, oppure si può pensare a Metamorphyses di Raison D’Être, più per il principio guida che per la somiglianza concreta. Potrebbe anche starci qualche paragone con l’isolazionismo, però MacFarlane ogni tanto vuole ancora essere spettrale e far paura, non gli interessano troppo gli intellettualismi e quindi non ha problemi a usare qualche cliché (sussurri malvagi e altri segnali dall’oltretomba).
