Amelia Rivas e Christian Pinchbeck prendono quota con un ep che ci porta loro notizie dopo alcuni buoni singoli pubblicati nel giugno dello scorso anno. Le basi per un futuro molto interessante si edificano qui, nonostante si utilizzino materiali ampiamente sfruttati e, addirittura, convertiti in oro da altre band. Assembly parte con il passo indie-pop della title-track per poi tuffarsi del tutto in pezzi da deliquio elettronico ed etereo a un passo dai Cocteau Twins (la finale “At Twilight”) e a mezzo passo dai Beach House, cioè da chi del pop di questo tipo ha elaborato un’arte splendente e in piena forma. Ai due Elephant il compito di raggiungerne il livello e di affrancarsene allo stesso tempo, dato che lampi e intuizioni sono merce rara, ma il “proprio suono”, anche se derivativo il giusto, è sempre più importante.
